Exhibition a great success

This weekend saw our first proper exhibition for 2 years (last year we had to show our photographs online for obvious reasons) and we were pleased to welcome a record number of visitors over the Saturday and Sunday. Mountains of cake and gallons of tea and coffee were devoured so thanks to all those who volunteered in the kitchen as well as to those who helped out on the door and with setting up and taking down all the pictures. We also introduced a 'Public Vote' this year to allow visitors to choose their favourite pictures. When all the votes were counted we ended up with a tie! The two most popular photographs were Maggie Jary's 'Saltburn Pier' and Chris Jary's 'Non Sustainable Floristry Beach Rubbish', but every contributing photographer had at least one photograph chosen by the public.

I really ejoyed the event and it was so rewarding to see that many visitors appreaciating our photography!  Congratulations to Maggi and Chris!

and congratulations to all who exhibited their work :)

I agree it was a great event and certainly raised the profile of the club. We had lots of positive comments and enquiries from potential members. It was a good team effort so thanks to all exhibitors and volunteers.
