The emphasis will be on assessing your own images thoroughly, but we’ll also look at how to give helpful feedback to others, and how to receive and use the feedback you may receive from your fellow photographers. After the presentation, a useful written checklist will be provided.

For the annual location shoot competition you can take and submit up to six images in the alloted time and at the nominated location. No computer manipulation is permitted.

Details, including the location, will be available closer to the date but the shoot is likely to take place in the afternoon if you'd like to create a placeholder in your diary.

Peter Downs is an abstract photographer based in Northumberland.

Originally from the Midlands, he moved to Northumberland 20 years ago rekindled his love of art, in particular photography. Lockdown led him to a new lease of creative life - to deconstruct his images and rebuild them using a variety of methods.

He is a member of Morpeth Camera Club and the Royal Photographic Society, gaining his LRPS in 2016.

Shona is a Professional Photographer based in the very beautiful seaside town of North Berwick, Scotland. She specialises in Seascape and Coastal Photography and is known in particular for my use of intentional camera movement (ICM Photography).

Shona is heavily influenced by contemporary art and abstract minimalism, which is where she draws her inspiration from for much of her work. This has led to an exploration of creating her vision through the use of intentional camera movement, a technique that can create serene and painterly results.
