Photographing from below brings into play the bright reflective lighting from the ceiling, it draws our attention the main subject, and then allows us to explore the rest of the scene. Very distinct forms, shapes, textures, and patterns that could so easily become a distraction frame the main figure and project her further towards the viewer. The gaze of the figure to the right adds further to the moment as does the halfhidden figure. Successful photographs have a 'punctum' and in this one it's the heel raised foot.
