The details and composition work really well all those diagonals building up tension with the open broken door. Great story.
Personally I think the sepia treatment detracts from the story and makes it "Olde Worlde" and quaint whereas I think a straight mono would have more punch.
Thanks Chris. The sepia treatment (Lightroom Antique Light preset) was last minute as I thought the image could appear a bit depressing and my title overly flippant. I rarely use these presets, but I did quite like the effect on this occasion. I've added the original to my gallery in case anyone else wanted to take a view.
If the BW version had a hint of haunting, or if it was an industrial ruin, then that would be great. However, I prefer the sepia as it tells of a derelict, once-loved family home.
