Bamburgh Castle another way

Judges comment: The colour is the first thing that hits you when looking at this piece, and it really does hit you. It's a photograph made of layers, and reminiscent of a stage set; the wispy corn-coloured grasses overlay softer purples that sit beneath acid greens punctuated by a shaft of beach and emerald trees and shrubs. It eventually builds to slabs of orange, sienna, and cream stone work, a top of which, and floating in the baby blue sky is St Georges Cross. Its all a wonderful fantasy.
